Voyalist keeps your trips on your device. There is no account, no login, and no server of ours that stores a packing list. Two things are worth naming up front, and both are set out in full further down this page: the free version of the app shows advertising delivered by Google, and the marketing pages of this website count page views.
Voyalist does not require an account. The trips, packing lists, and any names you add for a shared list are written to the app's own folder on your device. None of that content is transmitted to us, synchronised to a cloud service, or readable by us, because the app creates no copy of it outside your device. Deleting the app removes it. If you have switched on iCloud Backup or a local device backup in iOS, the app's folder may be included in that backup; the backup is a service of Apple that you configure yourself and it is governed by Apple's privacy policy rather than this one. The one thing that does leave the device is a request for an advertisement in the free version, and it carries none of the content above. See "Advertising in the free version" below.
Generating a packing list happens entirely on your device. No destination or trip information is sent to us or to any third party.
If you choose to share a packing list, the participant names you enter and the list contents are used only to power the shared list. Voyalist does not collect or transmit this information to us. Sharing works on the one device that holds the list: the names and the assignments are saved in the same local file as the trip, and nothing is synchronised to another phone or to any server.
The free version of Voyalist shows advertising. It appears as a banner below the tab bar, which keeps it visible on the Trips, Archive and Settings tabs and on a packing list you have opened, and as one full screen advertisement after you have finished packing a list and the celebration has played. The full screen advertisement never appears in your first session with the app, and never less than three minutes after the previous one. Voyalist Pro removes both the banner and the full screen advertisement.
The advertisements are delivered by the Google Mobile Ads SDK. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and Google LLC elsewhere. To fill an advertising slot, Google receives technical data from the device such as an IP address, device and operating system characteristics and, if you allow it, an advertising identifier.

Your consent comes first. Before the advertising kit is started at all, the app shows Google's User Messaging Platform consent form, and iOS then asks its own App Tracking Transparency question. Only after that does any advertisement load. The legal basis is your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, and you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future: open Settings in the app and choose Ad privacy options under "Privacy & data". That entry is shown wherever the consent form requires it. Buying Voyalist Pro removes the advertising altogether.
Google's own processing is described at policies.google.com/privacy and, for advertising specifically, at business.safety.google/privacy. Beyond Google's advertising kit the app uses no analytics service, no attribution SDK and no crash reporting service of ours.
The marketing pages of voyalist.vercel.app use Vercel Web Analytics, a measurement service of the hosting provider named below. It is cookieless: it sets no identifier, stores nothing on your device and builds no profile across sites. It counts page views and records when a visitor follows a link to the App Store, together with the place the button occupies on the page and the path of the page. The purpose is to see which pages actually help someone find the app. No visitor is identified, there is no evaluation of individual persons, and nothing from it is passed on to third parties. This privacy page and the Terms page do not load it at all.

If you buy Voyalist Pro, the purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Voyalist is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date.
